HDI Capital Area 2017 Officer ELECTION!

You have been invited to participate in our HDI Capital Area 2017 Officer Elections. Our chapter officers work tirelessly throughout the year to plan and deliver timely content to our local IT service and support industry. Your support is needed to vote in this year’s team.

Candidates' biographies are below:
William Liberti, President
Bill Liberti has served as President of the HDI Capital Area Local Chapter for the past two years; he was VP Communications prior to 2013. Bill has over 25 years of experience in the service and support industry; 20 of those years in Federal Government, Commercial and Contractor management roles. He is a customer-focused leader, coach and mentor to his colleagues. 

LaTonya Morgan, VP of Programs
LaTonya Morgan is a certified Project Management Professional with over 12 years’ experience leading and managing IT professionals on government contracts. She has successfully established Help Desks from the ground up to include several ticketing tool implementations and transitions. She is well known for her ability to improve upon staff performance and build strong, high performing teams. She is also ITIL Foundation certified which facilitates her establishment of well-defined policies and procedures. As hobbies, she enjoys cooking and cycling. She has raised money for and participated in bike tour events in support of finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and support the American Lung Association with their mission to improve lung health and prevent lung disease such as Asthma.

Monica Morrison, VP of Meetings and Logistics
Monica has 22 years of IT Service Management experience, implementing industry best practices that improved service in large companies and non-profit organizations.  She has experience coaching, mentoring, and building cohesive teams. Monica is a high energy, passionate leader with remarkable strategic vision and focus on customer satisfaction, process improvement, team building, and solutions implementation.  She holds ITIL and HDI Certifications.

Paulette Foxx-Dawodu, VP of Communications
Paulette has served as Vice President of Communications of the HDI Capital Area Local Chapter for the past two years.  Paulette has over 25 years of experience in the service and support industry.  Her work experience spans the three sectors of the economy -- government, private and labor. In each of these sectors, she has successfully managed, developed, planned, and implemented projects to assist in bringing them into the information technology age.

Kristin Ekanger, VP of Finance
Kristin is passionate about customer service and has been in the IT service and support industry for more than 15 years.  She has managed service desks, service delivery, and customer support for several non-profits in the DC area including The Brookings Institution, American Bankers Association, and Chemonics International.  As a member of HDI since 2000, she first became involved with the Capital Area chapter as a judge for their Analyst of Year awards.  She continues to judge every year and has served on the chapter’s Board of Directors as AVP, Leadership Council and as Secretary.
